11-6-2018 — FlexPAC is doubling its size in Elkhart. The company, which has five Midwest locations, is moving its Elkhart warehouse from 20,000 SF on Middlebury Street to 48,000 SF at 2910 Industrial Parkway this fall. FlexPAC creates turnkey solutions in the areas of packaging products, package design, facility equipment and products, safety equipment, and training.
Bristol Transportation Center Expanding at US 20 & SR 15
10-27-2018 — Bristol Transportation Center is expanding in the Bristol area. The company purchased the 9,282 SF two-building industrial complex at 18536 and 18582 US 20 to expand its existing semi repair business next door. The 1.62-acre property is situated on the southwest corner of US 20 and CR 15. The company plans to lease out the corner building in the near future. Bill Kuhns, SIOR, assisted in the sale.
Bobcat of Michiana To Open In Niles
10-23-2018 — Hull Lift Truck Inc. is the new owner of 1.9 acres at 2622 S. 11th Street in Niles, Mich. FM Stone’s Pete Letherman, CCIM, SIOR, represented the buyer in the transaction. Construction has been underway since July 2018 on a 10,000 SF building on the site that will house a new Bobcat of Michiana facility. The store, which will sell and rent Bobcat-brand equipment, expects to hire about 10 new employees. This will be the third Bobcat of Michiana store in the area for the company. Other locations include Elkhart and Riverside, Mich.
Pontoon Stuff Leases 40,045 SF
10-9-2018 — Pontoon Stuff Inc. is the new tenant in 40,045 SF of industrial space at 1700 W. Lusher Avenue in Elkhart. This will be a second location for the company that specializes in selling parts to rebuild pontoon boats. The business, which was founded in 2005, sells pontoon seats, accessories, carpet, flooring, parts and everything else for pontoon boats. Pontoon Stuff has another location on Fremont Court in Elkhart. The company is expected to use its new space for warehousing. Brent Miller, SIOR, assisted in the lease negotiations.
Classics on 23 Opens in Granger
10-4-2018 — Darin Hurn plans to sell classic cars from the former Granger location of Fred’s Transmission at 14887 & 14911 SR 23 in Granger. Hurn purchased the Granger property from Fred’s Shops and has just opened Classics on 23 on the site. The property consists of a 7,300 SF auto service center and a 1,260 SF office building on 1.44 acres. Both State Farm and Progressive Insurance currently lease suites in the office building. FM Stone’s Richard Hobson and Bill Kuhns, SIOR, were involved with the transaction.
