Lighthouse Autism Center Coming to Goshen

10-23-2020 — VAV Operations is the new owner of the former Chemical Bank branch at 511 W. Lincoln Avenue in Goshen. The 7,900 SF building will be used by VAV’s brand Lighthouse Autism Center, which provides autism therapy services to centers in Indiana and Michigan. There are already two centers in Elkhart and this will be first in Goshen. The seller was TCF National Bank. FM Stone brokers Scott Griffith and Pete Letherman, SIOR, CCIM, assisted in the sale.

Chubb Steel Buys 98,442 SF Building

10-5-2020 — Chubb Steel is the new owner of the 98,442 SF industrial building at 1900 W. Hively Avenue in Elkhart. The building was formerly occupied by Zurn and had been on the market for almost 1,600 days prior to being sold. Pete Letherman, SIOR, CCIM, represented the seller, Zurn Pex Inc., in the sale and Bill Kuhns represented Chubb Steel. The building purchase will allow Chubb Steel to have both a weld shop and a final shop in the new location. The steel fabrication business already has three other plants in the area.

7-17-2020 — DAC Enterprise, owned by Angie and Dennis Cripe, are the new owners of 1177 Markley in Plymouth. The 10-year-old company, which is a commercial and residential garage door manufacturer and distributor of DAC Overhead doors, plans to use the 50,000 SF industrial building on Markley for expansion. The company has another location at 400 Lake Avenue in Plymouth. Pete Letherman and Scott Griffith assisted in the sale.

DuMor Water Specialists Buys Elkhart Land

3-26-2020 — DuMor Water Specialists Inc. will build a new Elkhart headquarters building on Lot 33 of Market Court in Elkhart at some unknown point in time. DuMor, represented by FM Stone’s Richard Hobson, purchased the 1.85-acre lot from Ludwig Investments LLC who was represented by Pete Letherman, SIOR, CCIM. DuMor, a family-owned business that deals with water softeners, drinking water systems and bottled water, has been in the area for over 65 years.

City of Goshen Buys Building for Goshen Parks Department

7-24-2019 — The City of Goshen is the new owner of the 5,296 SF office building at 524 E. Jackson Boulevard in Goshen. The City of Goshen is using the former Modern Educational Systems building as the new home for the Goshen Parks and Recreation Department. The department’s former headquarters, at 607 W. Plymouth Avenue, was severely damaged during record-setting floods that have hit the city. Pete Letherman, SIOR, CCIM, assisted in the sale.
