Truma Expands in Elkhart

4-17-2018 -- Truma is expanding in Elkhart. The system supplier of heaters, air conditioning systems, hot water generators, maneuvering assistants and gas supply for the recreational vehicles industry purchased 5.04 acres at 13 Harman Drive in Elkhart. The 69-year-old company plans to build its permanent North American headquarters at this site along County Road 6, near County Road 17. The new headquarters is expected to be open in the fall of 2018 and will feature state-of-the-art offices, a warehouse and a customer service center for RV owners. Truma, which gets its name from former president Harry S. Truman, first came to Elkhart in 2013.

We are excited to expand to a larger location with more space so we can hire additional staff and continue to bring innovative products and services to the North American RV industry.”

FM Stone's Bill Kuhns, SIOR, represented the seller, A & K Real Estate LLP, in the transaction while FM Stone's Brent Miller, SIOR, represented Truma.

Kibby Excavating Buys Land

4-11-2018 -- Kibby Excavating Inc. is the new owner of 10.184 acres at 17225 CR 40 in Goshen. Brent Miller, SIOR, and Richard Hobson represented the seller, LMA Huf Development, LLC and Scott Griffith represented Kibby Excavating, Inc. in the deal. Initially Kibby Excavating expects to use the site for storage of excavation equipment and construction materials. Eventually the company hopes to make the site into its new location with a building and equipment maintenance facility/offices on site. The company also may develop some of the land for RV storage for leasing out to transport companies.

Kibby Excavating is owned and operated by Scott and Larry McKibbin of Goshen and has been in business for almost five years.  Larry McKibbin had been in the excavation business for over 40 years at McKibbin Brothers prior to forming Kibby Excavating Inc. with his son Scott.  

DH Machine Buys Expansion Land

3-27-2018 -- Bill Kuhns, SIOR, assisted DH Machine in purchasing 1.37 acres of land on North Tomahawk Trail in Nappanee. The land was previously owned by Amish Acres LLC. DH Machine, which is located directly north of the land parcel that was sold, is a steel and aluminum fabrication business that also does powder coating. The company intends to use the land for extra storage for its business and future business expansion.
